Took the eldest munchkin to go see "Godzilla" this morning. That. Was. Awesome! After the tragedy/fiasco/scandal that was the flaming piece of crap from 1998 known by the same title, the 2014 version reassured me at least, that the US has apologized for shitting on Toho's iconic character and has indeed, put the "God" back in Godzilla.
There was a Pacific Rim vibe feel to the movie, as evidenced by the fact that both Pacific Rim and Godzilla were made by the same studio, but in no way does Godzilla feel any attachment to it. These are two completely different movies that approach the exact same concept, giant monsters are fucking cool! Where as Pacific Rim went with using huge mecha to battle them, Godzilla went with "the arrogance of man to think he can control nature". They both work for me, they are both awesome in their own rights, and they both are deserving of a sequel of some sorts. Hell, if they wanted to do a crossover(in Hollywood, anything is possible) that would be fine with me to, so long as they let the people who handled these two movies do it. Would it be a cinematic masterpiece, hell no, but it would be hella fun and that's what going to the movies is all about. Sitting back, muching popcorn, and having some fun

I'm coming, kicking screaming, but I'm coming.
So it's been years putting off the inevitable, but finally, I have to wave the white flag, and surrender...... I am now on FaceBook. I have tried for years, a great many years to not get sucked into the social black hole that is FB, but I can't ignore it or dance around it any longer. To many people that I comment or chat with on here are there, and if I want to talk or chat with them, it seems I'm going to have to go there as well. That plus I have a crap ton of real life friends already there, and family, and class mates, and well just about every damn person I know except my dad and grandfather really. So, I can get with the 21st centu
My boy turns 3
I am back....
My youngest is 3 today. He's not my little baby/toddler anymore. Everybody grows up, everybody changes.
Going away for a while
Taking a leave of absence for a while, self imposed.
Public declaration
This is a public declaration, because sometimes, a heart-to-heart is not enough, and things need to be yelled from the rooftops for all to hear.
I LOVE MY WIFE! I think her smile is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. Really, it is. I've seen sunsets at the beach, sunrises in the mountains, I've seen two of my three children be born before my eyes, and still my wife's smile is the most beautiful thing I've seen. When she smiles, her whole face lights up and she radiates with beauty. I wake every morning to a dull dark bedroom at 6:15 because NOBODY in my house has to be up at that god awful time but me for my job. I drive to work i
